Lehrte station

Lehrte is a railway station located in Lehrte, Germany. The station is located on the Hanover–Brunswick railway. The train services are operated by Deutsche Bahn and as part of the Hanover S-Bahn. Lehrte is served by the S3 and S7. It is in Zone Region of Hannover. For information see www.gvh.de

History

In 1843, the Hanover–Brunswick railway line was built, Lehrte being one of the intermediate stations. In 1844, the classical style station building, designed by Ferdinand Edward Black was opened. In 1845, the Lehrte–Celle railway and the Lehrte–Hildesheim railway were opened, making Lehrte an important railway junction.
